Evident videoclipul de la Take on me a ajutat considerabil , dar nu toate videoclipurile celor de la A-ha au ajutat melodia.

In cazul videoclipurilor de la Velvet si de la Celice oricat de bine facute au fost, a dus la nepromovare pieselor pe posturile tv.
Cel putin nu cred ca au fost difuzate la ore la care se uita majoritatea spectatorilor, poate dupa ora 10 seara. Cine stie? Eu Velvet-ul l-am vazut o singura data pe vh1 apoi tacere. Iar Celice in afara de videoclipul de pe cd-ul autentic Analogue nu l-am zarit pe nicaieri.  |

Stiu ca nici videoclipul la Dark is the night si nici cel de la Move to Memphis nu au fost dintre cele mai "pasnice" ale lor.
Sunt suficient de controversate...si sumbre

Am revazut si eu velvet - e opera de arta pe linga ultimele trei clipuri a-ha. Mai toate clipurile a-ha care imi vin acum in cap au adus noutati, au fost bine facute, au completat cu brio muzica...
In general, cred ca nu e bine sa se continue linia ultimelor trei clipuri low budget in stilul: ne deplasam intr-o locatie, filmam o zi (uneori mai putin) cu vreo 5 camere si restul platim lu' nenea de la montaj... Eu unul nu vad clipuri a-ha reusite intre 4 pereti... /in sensul ca actiunea clipurilor sa nu fie intre 4 pereti. Poate la cosy prison mergea - si nu inteleg nici acolo - era material de scos un clip mai bun... In rest - la celice nu pricep nimic din clip! Si e o melodie extraordinara - am mai spus: tot albumul merita mai mult! Ahh, timpuri apuse - cu crying in the rain (ce ma obseda camera aia care intra intr-un tub micutz si trecea prin el... Lifelines - o bijuterie... Forever not yours - cum ati spus si voi cu morten vedeta si magne si paul spelind  O gramada de clipuri care au ajutat piesele. |

Si eu sunt nostalgica dupa clipurile vechi A-ha.... Cele de pe Analogue mi se par...sterse, comparativ cu cele de pe Minor Earth sau Lifelines. Uite totusi exemplu de videoclip intre "patru" pereti (care e in topul meu pe inițialul loc) The Sun Always Shines on TV. E adevarat, e facut de acelasi maestru numit Steve Barron. Apropos de Crying in the rain, intr-un interviu luat lui Steve Barron de cei de la Hallmark, chiar au facut referire la tehnica folosita de el in videoclipul melodiei...E o inovatie de-a lui, a si spus ca a lucrat la mai multe videoclipuri cu A-ha si ca tehnica respectiva a folosit-o ulterior in diferite filme. |

Am citit acum ceva vreme pe a-ha.com un interviu cu Magne din care imi amintesc ca se referea la videoclipul de la Touchy ca fiind una din greselile lor.
E un videoclip copilaresc, fara mult substrat, facut in spiritul videoclipurilor anilor '80. Nu cred ca a avut vreun impact nici pozitiv , nici negativ. E genul de videoclip care iti place, dar pe care il uiti dupa ce s-a terminat. Dragut, fainut, despre ce a fost vorba?? |

AH...  ...m-as uita non stop la el.
Cum o fi sa ti se compuna cu dedicatia întocmai melodie? Trebuie sa fii extrem de norocoasa... Nu e cel mai ideal videoclip al lor, dar se potriveste melodiei. E sensibil. Cat despre o posibila buba ....nu o vad . Poate doar s-or fi sesizat asociatiile pentru drepturile animalelor la faza accidentului. cu biata lebada intrand in parbriz... |

cazul TOM e tradițional deja. e o melodie care a prins dupa lansarea vidoeclipului animat. asta e. norocul l-a suras.
personal cred ca un videoclip n-ar necesită sa atarne asa de greu in succesul unei melodii. o melodie iti place sau nu. in cazul a-ha sunt numeroase alte melodii care imi plac fara sa li se fi facut vreodata vreun videoclip. dar recunosc am si eu slabiciunile mele. Hunting high and low mi-a placut mai mult dupa videoclip. deci: cam ajuta melodia un videoclip bine facut.  |

inca ceva: videoclipuri controversate au avut majoritatea artistilor, cum altfel pot atrage atentia. nu e vorba ca un videoclip controversat face rau la imagine, ci de cum se foloseste "faima" videoclipului pt a ajuta artistul respectiv.
sunt artisti care supravietuiesc numai din "controverse". a-ha nu e genul asta de trupa/artist. |

M-am gandit unde sa pun articolul asta, la media sau la discutiile despre videoclipuri...
Am ales ultima varianta pt ca as fi curioasa sa stiu si parerile voastre legat de continutul articolului: "22.10.2000 A-ha’s Velvet video thrills and shocks Norways most successful music band a-ha has shocked and thrilled the Norwegian public with the release of their new music video Velvet. After NRK TV's News Department showed an edited part of the video to the public during a prime-time news broadcast last week, the band has been accused of flirting with both sex and necrophilia. The video depicts the three main band members’ death. Graphic scenes where for instance band member Paal Waaktar is seen with a bullet through his head and colleague Morten Harket ends his life in the bathtub with a hairdryer, was for many viewers hard to swallow. The scenes are mainly from the morgue and nurses make sexually motivated gestures when handling the corpses. Many viewers reacted in shock at the scenes, yet others congratulated the band for being creative and innovative. Earlier a-ha’s video releases have made headlines, however mostly positive. The Take on Me video made headlines for being the first video with cartoon-like photo-animation and for winning 8 MTV hit awards. Recently the same video was voted as the third best video ever made. The Sun Always Shines On TV was banned in the US, but that was because the video was taped in a church… The Norwegian public has been invited in several media to give their opinion of the video. Reactions were everything from “beautiful and creative," - to "awful and ugly.” One viewer said “it is great art because it creates debate.” One newspaper editor (VG) questioned the need for this video. He realizes that the strategy for the band has been to lucrate more gimmick, however there are other areas the band could chose their gimmick from…Other artists like Madonna and Prodigy can use the provocative form because that’s what they wish to be. The problem is that a-ha has never had wished for that role, says Stein Østbø in his editorial. When asked by NRK if the video is speculative, band member Magne Furuholmen answered “People will have to judge for themselves. The shocking part of this is that a-ha is doing it. The fact that we are so "safe" in people's opinion shows it’s time to take some chances, move some borderlines.” The Norwegian Hollywood producer Harald Zwart has produced the music video. Velvet is also the main soundtrack in Zwart’s next Hollywood film ”One Night at McCools”, which most likely will be released in February. Norway Post " |
